The first official screening of ‘Soul of Soil’ 《种土》 in Malaysia, a documentary nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 61st Golden Horse Awards 2024.
Filmed over eight years by director Yan Lanquan in Taiwan, ‘Soul of Soil’ follows two farmers—A-Jin and An-Ho, on their journey to revitalize damaged soil and sustainable farming. Even when faced with challenges and diverging ideals, they held fast to hope on the mission of soil regeneration without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
Watch the documentary with us, step into their stories, and have a dialogue with the local organic farmers at the end of the screening. This way you’ll get to know first hand on what challenges the local farmers are facing, and what are our roles as consumers.
